The Polish painter Jacek Malczewski devoted himself to modernism and symbolism. At the beginning of his work, he concentrated on realistic history paintings in the style of romanticism, for which he mainly used dark colours. His love for historical subjects remained, while stylistically he turned more and more towards symbolism as he grew older. The works by Malczewski available in our portfolio look particularly elegant as a canvas or acrylic print.
